Nestled in the shadow of Barden Tower, the Barden Bunk Barn has been converted from
former stables into a well appointed group accommodation venue sleeping up to 24
Situated on the Duke of Devonshire's Bolton Abbey Estatein Upper Wharfedale, the
whole site, which consists of the ruined Barden Tower, the Priests House restaurant
and function venue and the bunk barn, is grade 1 listed being one of the most important
historical sites in the Yorkshire Dales. It boasts fantastic views of the valley
with superb river and hill walks nearby.
It is an ideal get away to explore the dales and relax with friends and family. It
has just been extensively refurbished with improved electrics, new flooring and a
range of new furniture.
We only let out the barn to one group at a time and thus is not suitable for groups
of less than 8-10. Increasingly, corporate clients use the facility as a midweek
away day venue, where staff can have some time out, discuss the issues of the day
in total privacy, undertake some team building sessions and have a pleasant meal
in the evening.
The barn is also ideal for guest accommodation following weddings held at The Priests
Like many similar venues in the Yorkshire Dales, weekends tend to book well in advance,
so you will need to plan ahead. Midweek is generally more readily available.
The barn has just been substantially redecorated...
New floor in the washrooms and one of the bedrooms
New curtains and cushions
New double bed in one of the bedrooms
Improvements to electrics
Pool table recovered
Larger screen for the DVD player
New CD player
